up coming gigs for the group are Canada day July 1st at the bandstand Shipyards landing bridgewater from 1:30 to 2:15 and July 5th at the bandstand in Mahone Bay for an evening of gospel music presented by the calvary temple church.

Gospel CD

Because of the success of the first CD and the fun experience for us, we have completed the paperwork for our first gospel only CD (2nd CD in total) entitled "Come to the Chapel". "Come to the Chapel" includes 3 self-written songs written by some members of Kinfolk including the title song itself. The CD will also contain some of your favorite gospel music. "Come to the Chapel" will be recorded mid-spring hopefully 2009. For further information and updates contact the members of Kinfolk at the numbers seen at the top of our home page or keep checking your favorite website www.momsfamilyband.spaces. The first recording session for COME TO THE CHAPEL CD will be april 4th 2009, where we will be laying down the instrument tracks. Don't know if we will get any vocals done that day or not.

biography

The group started singing together at family get togethers about 9 years ago.

There are 8 members in our group, 7 are family and 1 very good family friend.

Our first performance was in July 2004, on Entry Island, in the Magdelines. Since then we have done 40 shows, we did Newfie Days in Lunenburg for 3 years, Fisherman's Picnic in 2006, Hawk Days in Clark's Harbour, Astor Theatre in Liverpool, and various variety and gospel shows. We also perform for the residents of Harbour View Haven, numerous times a year.

Our music consists of country/western, 50/60 rock, Gospel and some Newfie tunes.

We are hoping to have our first CD, in the near future.
